Task Two: Learn and Earn
This is without a doubt one of the most important tasks in this Report.

But don’t get too wrapped up in the planning stage of your first website right now.
Focus on reading the entire Report and then DOING THE TASKS. You will get a much better overall picture of what you need to do if you read the entire report before you do the tasks. Take your time. Take a few breaks. This is quite a bit of information to take in for one sitting – so let the information digest in your brain and build upon what you are learning.

Unless you intend to seek funding from a bank, or investors, don’t get too bogged down with creating an elaborate Business Plan. Most people can sketch an outline of their site based on other sites they have seen.

That is why you need to stick to the basics. Keep it simple. You will learn as you DO the tasks required.

As you review the SBA site think in terms of how you can use the Internet and recurring income in your business plan.
But remember to keep it simple. Your focus should be on moving forward and learning what is needed to create your website. You can actually just do a plan outline, and fill in the blanks, as you continue moving forward to build your website.
Do not get too bogged down in planning. You do not know enough right yet to plan properly. Keep moving forward and learn as you go.
The SBA explains everything in easy to follow plain language. Visit the SBA Website but do not spend too much time trying to plan or you will go crazy!
Task Four: Keyword Research
You will learn more about how valuable keywords are in Task Five – but for now it is important that you learn the basics.
Don’t get too tied up in keyword research right now but make sure you understand how important the right keywords are to creating your website.
DO NOT PAY FOR ANY KEYWORD RESEARCH TOOL!
Every tool you need for keyword research is free and readily available online.
Read the following explanation of keyword research and DO THE TASK as instructed and you will know more about keyword research than many of the people who profess to be experts.
Keyword research is one of the most basic tasks that you must perform if you want to succeed at Internet Marketing.
People looking for information on the Internet usually go to Google, Bing, Yahoo, or Ask.com and type in one, two, or more words into the search box. The words that they type into the search box ARE keywords. They expect to get a listing of websites that match the keywords they entered when they hit the search button.
Those keywords generate a list of websites based on a ranking system determined by the search engines. Each search engine uses their own criteria to “rank” a website with the goal of returning the most relevant results to the user.
Although there are other factors to getting your website ranked – you must begin by using the right keywords, in the right places, on your website.
How do you find the right keywords to use in your domain name? In your page titles? In your website description?
The first thing you must do is put yourself in the “shoes” of the searcher who is looking for what you have to offer. You must “become the customer.” You must think exactly like the customer and write down as many of the keywords that you think they will use to search for your offer.
Start with what you believe are the top ten keywords that searchers will use to find your website.
Then you will use two FREE and simple tools offered by Google – the largest search engine in the world – to fine tune your keyword list.
Do not make keyword research more complicated than it has to be. You need to find keywords that represent your offer. And you need to find the keywords that people are actually using to find those types of offers.
You can accomplish both of these tasks with the two FREE tools offered by Google.
First go to the Google Keyword Tool.
Spend some time getting to know how to use this very easy to use tool. Just spend 10 minutes using it and you will be surprised how easy it is to use. Very simple. Yet, it is invaluable for Internet marketing and could make all the difference in whether you succeed or fail!
Enter the keywords that you thought of for your website. Look at all the possible keywords generated by the Google Keyword Tool and decide which ones to write down on your list. Enter the amount of monthly searches next to each keyword that you may want to use. (It is best to use a spreadsheet). You will not know what I am describing unless you actually DO the TASK. So click on the link and see how easy it is: Google Keyword Tool
Next, go to the Google Wonder Wheel and enter the keywords on your list into the Wonder Wheel search box. The Wonder Wheel will generate keyword suggestions based on actual searches made by users of Google.
Add as many relevant keywords to your list as you want – and then go back to the Google Keyword Tool and check to see how many monthly searches are done.
Don’t get too bogged down with doing hours of keyword research. Try to make it fun. Focus on the keywords that best represent your offer and that have a moderate amount of traffic.
Repeat this process as many times as you think is needed. You will find that you will eventually keep coming up with the same words as you narrow down your keyword list to the most relevant with a moderate amount of traffic.
This keyword exercise will deliver incredible value as you find the actual terms that searchers are using to find relevant offers. Doesn’t that make sense? Find the keywords that people use when they are looking for the products or services that you will be promoting?
You will be amazed at how many “online marketers” haven’t got a clue about how to use these tools.
You will learn much about your target market and the keywords needed to register a proper domain name, create relevant keyword rich page titles, description and content. Don’t worry right now if you do not understand what all this means. Read this entire report, several times if needed, and it will all become crystal clear to you.

That keyword research is very important in deciding what to name your website.
Getting your own website starts with figuring out what type of business you want and then getting a Domain Name
or URL that best represents your business.
The URL is simply the web address of your website and just another way to say domain name.
If you want to succeed in operating any business on the Internet it is important that you have your own domain name. You need your very own piece of virtual real estate if you want to build a successful website.
Having your own website will give you the control you need to manage your business as you see fit.
In order to establish your own website you must follow a very simple process:
- Register a domain name
- Get secured web hosting
- Create (or hire somebody to create) your website
It helps to know how the domain name system works so that you fully understand the benefit of having control over your domain.

These are very easy to use features and can really help you to create your own simple, but unique, site.
If you can read, and follow directions, you will be able to create your own professional looking website using WordPress in very little time.
It is very empowering to watch your website come to life!
And the absolute beauty of WordPress is that you can select many different themes, keep them in your WordPress admin panel and activate any one of them to see which one looks the best.
You will not lose any of your website content by trying different themes. Themes just change the way the content is presented and how the site appears.
